Introduction To Church Security Planning-Protecting The Flock
This introductory course focuses on the timely subject of an active shooter in a church or house of worship. Discussions will include establishing operations to observe attendees as they arrive, considerations to restricting backpacks in the worship center, security measures to put in place prior to services and who/how the response should look. How does a License to Carry holder fit into the plan? The legal aspects of recent legislative changes and the legal impacts of use of force will be discussed. This course is geared towards church security volunteers, is 2.5 hours in length and is free of charge. This is a civilian training course and no TCOLE credits are awarded for attendance by LEO.
